Let's face it, mushrooms make everything tastes better. If you've never sauteed/sweated mushrooms, here are some simple instructions (and inspiration for an epic sandwich). While the recipe calls for cremini mushrooms, the technique applies to most culinary mushrooms that Hodgins Harvest carries. FYI, Hodgins does not carry shiitakes, but both Letterbox and Black Creek do!
Nutmeg Bakery & Cafe is back for the first time this season.They are bringing lots of pies (including their popular Key Lime) and crostatas, both savory and sweet. They've expanded their line of grain salads, too.
Springbrook Hollow Farm Distillery is joining us for the first time this week. Try their Two Sisters Vodka or Sly Fox Gin made with spring water from the Adirondack mountains. They also make a very popular limoncello and orangecello - both perfect on their own or for a range of summer cocktails.
Bohemian Baked returns with their gluten-free bagels and other GF favorites that have earned baker Nancy Haggerty legions of fans.
And if all of the above wasn't enough to entice you to the market, Caradonna Farm and Wright's Apple Farm are both bringing the first raspberries of the season.
